Job Summary:
As a Frozen and Dairy Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal presentation, organization, and availability of frozen and dairy products within our retail space. Your role involves maintaining product quality, managing inventory, and creating visually appealing displays to enhance the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange and stock frozen and dairy products on shelves and displays according to company merchandising standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and rotate products to maintain freshness.
- Create visually appealing displays to attract customer attention and promote sales.
- Conduct regular inspections of frozen and dairy products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Monitor expiration dates and remove any expired or damaged products promptly.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address quality concerns.
- Receive and unload deliveries, ensuring accurate product counts and proper storage.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Use inventory management systems to track product movement and sales trends.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and location.
- Keep abreast of product knowledge, including new arrivals and promotions.
- Address customer concerns and inquiries related to frozen and dairy products.
- Adhere to food safety and health regulations governing the handling and display of frozen and dairy products.
- Ensure compliance with storage temperature requirements for perishable items.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in merchandising, preferably in a grocery or retail setting.
- Knowledge of frozen and dairy products, their handling, and storage requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a cold environment and lift moderately heavy items.
